The person hired in this position will be able to engage in meaningful critical race/ethnic studies research of their liking. Gonzaga has several strategic initiatives which could further support the experiences of interdisciplinary scholars grounded in critical race and ethnic studies, including those scholars who study race, climate, water, and the environment, critical race and ethnic studies approaches to health sciences, critical race and ethnic studies approaches to data science and algorithmic sciences, and critical approaches to race and sports.

The department welcomes candidates eager to contribute to the College’s goal of inclusive excellence in teaching and to pursue scholarly interest in an environment that values and practices cura personalis, or care for the whole person, for all community members.
