Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for the direction, management and administration of all aspects of the Ticket Office for the Athletic Department. Responsible for supervising office staff and working in collaboration with External Operations staff and Athletic Development leadership on events.

Essential Functions:

  • Ticket Operations (75%)
    • Responsible for oversight of the Ticket Office day-to-day operations, as well as the sale and distribution of tickets to all home and select away athletic events and select events in the McCarthey Athletic Center.
    • Administer game day ticket operations at all basketball, baseball soccer, and volleyball events.
    • Use Paciolan/Spectra ticketing system in assisting with ticket and donation reconciliations, cash management, data entry, and event operations.
    • Program events within Paciolan ticket system.
    • Oversee renewal and new customer season ticket processes.
    • Administer and supervise allotment of tickets for visiting schools, season ticket holders, and public sale while adhering to NCAA rules regarding compliance of complimentary tickets for student athletes, coaches and athletic department staff. 
    • Oversee distribution of tickets at select away, neutral site, and NCAA championship events.
    • Administer student and faculty/staff ticket distribution and track attendance for all home athletic events.
    • Responsible for the accurate oversight of maintaining fiscally sound records and internal controls for the Ticket Office including event/game audits, reconciliation and deposits following each event also including ZAG and other donations and daily funds received by the Ticket Office and Athletic Department.
    • Ensure all transactions maintain PCI compliance as mandated by the University.
    • Ensure all transactions adhere to University cash handling requirements.
    • Serve in a customer service role to promote Gonzaga and its Athletic Department and resolve customer issues at the Ticket Office and home events.
    • Answer phone calls pertaining to tickets, donations and miscellaneous athletic department business.
    • Ability to identify prospective donors & customers for upsell and cross-sale opportunities related to tickets, events & Bulldog Club benefit access.
    • Represent Ticket Office in weekly staff and event management meetings. 
  • Supervision and Leadership (20%)
    • Responsible for the staffing and direction of ticket office staff including full-time, on-call, interns, and student employees. 
    • Coordinate hiring, training and assigning work to student staff including use of the ticket system, fiscal practices and NCAA compliance. 
  • NCAA Compliance (5%)
    • Adhere to NCAA rules regarding compliance of complimentary tickets for student athletes, coaches and athletic department staff. 
  • Additional Duties as Assigned by the Department

Educational Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Years of Related Experience Requirement:

  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience working in a collegiate athletic department or ticket office
  • One (1) year supervisory experience

In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education.

Knowledge of Paciolan/Spectra Ticketing Software
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrated working relationship with administrators, support staff, customers, coaches and student-athletes
Excellent administrative, organizational, time management, computer application, communication and personnel management skills
Weekend and evening work is required
Work is discharged in an office environment as well as an event environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree
Knowledge of Paciolan pac fund software

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $72,500 - $74,425

Pay Range:

Minimum Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 59540

Midpoint Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 74425

Maximum Salary (Annualized 12 months and 40 hours/week): 89309

Minimum Salary (Non-Exempt): 28.63

Midpoint Salary (Non-Exempt): 35.78

Maximum Salary (Non-Exempt): 42.93
