Job Purpose:
Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach in the Certificate in Foundational Leadership program within the Center for Lifelong Learning. The successful candidate will have practical, hands-on experience applying leadership skills into real-world settings, along with the enthusiasm, presence, and skills to engage adult learners in a synchronous online learning environment. The ideal instructor will be committed to pursuing excellence in teaching, fostering creativity, and promoting an inclusive, collaborative learning experience.
The instructor will be fully responsible for course planning, delivering live online class sessions, creating and collecting assignments, submitting grades, and being available to students for one hour of office hours per week per course, if needed. Adjunct faculty members teach up to 6 credits per academic term, and assignments will be coordinated with the department each semester.

Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Education, or related discipline)
• Demonstrated practical experience applying leadership principles in professional or organizational settings
• Experience teaching, training, or facilitating workshops for adult learners
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or higher (or equivalent professional experience)
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness, including the ability to engage and support diverse learners
• Experience using online teaching platforms and an LMS (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle)
• Commitment to inclusive pedagogy and collaborative learning
