Job Purpose:

This position supports the Center for Student Academic Success (CSAS) with responsibility and duties primarily aligned with the Disability Access office. Greets visitors and provides a first point of contact, creating an inclusive and welcoming experience. This individual performs moderately complex administrative and budgetary duties for the professional staff in the Disability office, as well as general support to the Center's Director. Incumbent is expected to function professionally with and without direct supervision, using discretion and maintaining confidentiality. All activities in this position are carried out in direct support of Gonzaga University's Mission.

Essential Functions:

  • 50% - Administrative Support
    • Perform a wide range of complex administrative duties requiring independent judgment and initiative on assignments that are sensitive in nature.
    • Perform complex word processing tasks such as merging and sorting, integrating text and graphics, and helping to generate direct mailings, forms, flyers and other documents.
    • Manage correspondence for department operations.
    • Plan, set -up, monitor, and tear-down of departmental events and meetings.
    • Maintain professional and accurate records including confidential reports and information, both in electronic and written format.
    • Schedule appointments, calendars, meetings, travel and other events, including the procurement of logistical needs.
    • Submit and monitor work orders for office and department members.
    • Maintain and order supplies for the office and equipment.
  • 40% - Customer Service
    • Arrive on time to open and close office for daily operations.
    • Welcome and greet all visitors with pleasant and professional demeanor.
    • Respond and proactively assist with inquires on a multi-phoneline system and email communication in a timely manner.
    • Proactively work to facilitate communication between visitors and employees within the department.
    • Resolve complex and escalated issues.
    • Oversee and assign work and special projects to student employees. 
  • 10% - Budgetary Support
    • Prepare, audit and process requisitions, expense reports, invoices, contracts and credit card statements.
    • Monitor, reconcile and generate reports on department budget.
    • Use spreadsheet and database software to create and maintain various budget and personnel records. 
  • Additional Duties as Assigned by the Department

Educational Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

Years of Related Experience Requirement:

1 year

In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education. 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in higher education.
Experience working with students with disabilities.

Physical & On-Campus Requirements:

In-Office Presence - Ability to work on-site in typical office setting and participate in in-person meetings with colleagues: 5 days/week

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $20.31 - $21.41/hr

Pay Range:

Minimum Salary (Non-Exempt): 20.31

Midpoint Salary (Non-Exempt): 25.38

Maximum Salary (Non-Exempt): 30.46
