Job Purpose:
The Undergraduate Clinical Placement Manager works under direction of the Director of Undergraduate Programs and collaborates with the Director of Clinical Placement, Clinical Compliance Specialist, faculty, program coordinators, students, agencies, and clinical placement consortia to assure appropriate clinical educational experiences for Gonzaga University undergraduate nursing students. The Undergraduate Clinical Placement Manager manages and coordinates the identification of, scheduling for, and use of clinical facilities in collaboration with faculty and agencies to provide required clinical learning opportunities for undergraduate nursing students. Ensures completion and submission of agency-required documentation for students and faculty assigned to clinical practicum or capstone experiences within affiliated agencies. Coordinates clinical orientation and ensures student preparedness for the clinical experience This position will assist in the orientation of adjunct faculty & Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) preceptors. The Undergraduate Clinical Placement Manager is responsible for complex communication and problem solving to maintain and expand positive working relationships with a variety of contacts inside and outside the department and university.

In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education.
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered Nurse license.
Demonstrated knowledge about cultural competence in academic and healthcare settings.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of precepting in an undergraduate nursing education setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of BSN program objectives, course sequencing and individual course clinical requirements.
Experience working collaboratively with a variety of diverse stakeholders with energy and enthusiasm.

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $25.08 - $31.34

Minimum Salary (Non-Exempt): 25.08
Midpoint Salary (Non-Exempt): 31.34
