Title: FXD - Lab and Field Technician

Job Purpose:

The technician will aid Principal Investigator (PI) Liz Addis and Addis' research students with data collection, processing, and analyzing, as well as writing papers.

Essential Functions:

• 40% - Collect ecological and morphological data
• 30% - Enter data collected in the field, check data entry of others, organize data, analyze data.
• 20% - Process samples collected in the field for further analysis

• Additional Duties as Assigned by the Department

Educational Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree

Years of Related Experience Requirement:

1 year

In lieu of the educational qualifications, candidates may qualify with equivalent professional experience at a ratio of one year of experience for each year of required education. 

Certifications and/or Licensures:

Skills & Abilities:

• BA or BS in Biology
• Training with handling animals
• Ability to organize data, use spreadsheets
• Work in inclement conditions outdoors
• Strong communication skills.

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $5,331.20 ($16.66/hr)

Pay Range:

Minimum Salary (Non-Exempt): $18.35

Midpoint Salary (Non-Exempt): $22.93

Maximum Salary (Non-Exempt): $27.52
