Job Purpose:

The Engineering Management program is seeking adjunct faculty to develop and teach online/asynchronous Master of Engineering Management courses. Courses of particular interest are ENGM 540 Global Engineering Management and ENGM 580 Manufacturing Sustainability. The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in engineering discipline with significant practical experience. Ideal candidates will have experience successfully teaching and mentoring graduate students of all backgrounds. Adjunct faculty are encouraged to reach out to other department faculty for assistance and support.

The course development requirement will be a one-time function, not ongoing. Starting with an approved course syllabus, course development will include all lecture materials, supplemental resources, homework assignments, exams, and other assessments. The selected candidate will be compensated with a one-time stipend for developing the course materials, which will be paid upon successful completion of course development. We hope to begin the course development work ASAP, whereas the teaching would not occur until Fall 2025. 

The Engineering Management program is housed within the Gonzaga University Mechanical Engineering Department. Essential Functions:

  • One-time development of course materials in collaboration with Gonzaga’s Instructional Design and Delivery group 
  • Teach online coursework 
  • Collaborate and communicate with course student challenges and/or concerns

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in an engineering discipline
  • Relevant industrial experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching online courses
  • PhD in an engineering discipline
