Job Purpose:
The Program Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing student leadership development and supporting the event planning and logistical aspects of an exemplary program of new student and family orientation and year-long transition programs designed to integrate students and their families into Gonzaga's Jesuit Catholic university community, promote retention, and facilitate academic success. These programs include, but are not limited to: New Student Orientation, Parent & Family Orientation, and Fall Family Weekend as well as first year transition programming. The Program Coordinator supports collaborative student success strategies for an increasingly more diverse generation of Gonzaga students and families in collaboration with other departments across campus throughout the year. This position supervises student leaders within the New Student & Family Programs office and reports to the Assistant Director for Events & Operations.

Skills & Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to learn and use new systems, including MS word, Slate, StarRez, etc.
Strong customer service skills
Ability to manage student leaders
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a related field
Previous experience in a higher education setting
Understanding of challenges and barriers faced by communities around ethnicity, race, class, gender, privilege and oppression
Experience leading, supervising, and/or managing college students
Physical & On-Campus Requirements:
In-Office Presence - Ability to work on-site in typical office setting and participate in in-person meetings with colleagues: 5 days/week

The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to offer for this position: $21.85 - $25.62 per hour
Pay Range:
Minimum Salary (Non-Exempt): 21.85
Midpoint Salary (Non-Exempt): 27.31
Maximum Salary (Non-Exempt): 32.76
