Job Purpose:
Gonzaga University is searching for adjunct instructors to join the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry for the upcoming semester. Teaching duties will include general chemistry lab(s). Ideal applicants will demonstrate a commitment to promoting inclusive and equity-minded learning environments and the potential for excellence in teaching undergraduates from a variety of backgrounds and identities, including those historically marginalized in the sciences (e.g., first-generation students, students from low-income families, students of color, LGBTQ+ students, students with disabilities).

Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
-M.S. in chemistry, biochemistry, or closely related field
-Evidence of teaching effectiveness, including the ability to effectively respond to the academic needs of learners from diverse backgrounds.
-Evidence of the ability to use effective classroom strategies and pedagogies to advance equity, inclusion, and belonging.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or equivalent) in chemistry, biochemistry, or closely related field

In-Office Presence - Ability to work on-site in typical office setting and participate in in-person meetings with colleagues: 5 days/week

Lifting/Carrying - Ability to move or transport objects up to a specified weight: Often (50%-75% of time)
