Job Purpose:
Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, is seeking an adjunct faculty member in the Department of Public Health. The successful candidate will have the enthusiasm, classroom presence and skills to engage students and should be committed to pursuing excellence in teaching and promoting an inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will be fully responsible for course planning, delivering class sessions, creating and collecting assignments, submitting grades, and be available to students for office hours for one hour per week per course (or more if needed depending on the course, program and department). Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
Degree in the area of expertise the adjunct is applying to teach in (or a closely related field).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching in a classroom setting.
Evidence of teaching effectiveness, including the ability to effectively respond to the academic needs of learners from diverse backgrounds.
Experience using classroom strategies and pedagogies to advance equity and inclusion.

In-Office Presence - Ability to work on-site in typical office setting and participate in in-person meetings with colleagues: 5 days/week
