Job Purpose:
The Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, invites applications for its Adjunct Faculty Pool within the Kinesiology program. We welcome applications from individuals that have backgrounds in Kinesiology and that can contribute to our vibrant and growing student-centered program. Successful candidates will have the enthusiasm, classroom/lab presence and skills to engage students and should be committed to pursuing excellence in teaching and promoting an inclusive learning environment. Candidates will be fully responsible for course planning, delivering class sessions, creating and collecting assignments, submitting grades, and be available to students for office hours for one hour per week per course (or more if needed depending on the course, program and department). Possible teaching assignments based on need include: Introduction to Kinesiology, Motor Learning and Development, Health and Wellness, Anatomy and Physiology Labs, Exercise and Sport Psychology, Health and Fitness Club Management, Exercise & Special Populations, among others.

Essential Functions:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Kinesiology, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior teaching experience at the university level.
• Demonstrated ability/potential to provide quality educational experiences to a diverse student population.
• ACSM EP or CSCS certifications

In-Office Presence - Ability to work on-site in typical office setting and participate in in-person meetings with colleagues: 5 days/week
Standing/Sitting - Ability to remain in a stationary position for a prolonged period: Daily (>75% of time)

Lifting/Carrying - Ability to move or transport objects up to a specified weight: Often (50%-75% of time)
